Wow… I am beyond astonished by the devastation in Haiti.  Anyone catch the 20/20 special reporting what it’s like on the streets, the need for assistance, food, water, search and rescue/recovery…?  There are already some spectacular, moving photos taken by some very brave journalists.  Although I would love that opportunity professionally I don’t think my skin is thick enough to see and capture what would be all around me.  Hats off to those who do that type of photography!

It’s impossible to watch without asking “what can I do?”  Yes I could donate $100, $200, $500… but sometimes there is even more strength in numbers.  Blast an email to your friends, your family, on your Facebook page, twitter this… however you communicate please, let’s go viral with this:

It will immediately deduct $10 off your next cel phone bill and donate directly to the Red Cross and specifically to Haiti.  What is $10?  Absolutely nothing in the scheme of our lifestyle, yet so powerful when hundreds, even thousands could do this!!!  It’s proof that little things can mean a lot.  To date 140,000 people have died with no dignity, laying in the streets, in mass graves, underneath rubble.  A bulldozer is scooping up dead bodies by the dozens to transfer them out of the way.  It’s absolutely heartbreaking.  I’m disturbed… speachless…

Wouldn’t a great New Year’s Resolution be to give more?  Help more?  Devote more time or monetary donations to charities you are passionate about?  Think of something that hits you close to home and gravitate to that!!!  Food for thought…..
